Gloucester Goes Retro

ACI do not have a club stand as such at this event, but it is always a very popular occasion and ACI feel members / prospective members alike would enjoy a day out here with much fun being had celebrating all things Retro.

Now in its fifth year, Gloucester brings you their award winning Festival of Living History taking place right in the heart of the glorious city centre.

The four main gate streets will be turned back in time: Westgate 1900 -1949, Northgate: 1950s, Eastgate: 1960s, Southgate: 1970 to modern day times.

The streets will be lined with hundreds of Historic Classic Cars, including Military Transport, Buses Motorbikes etc from all over the Country & themed with memories of times past with Live Music, Fashion & Reenactors all playing their part. Star Wars characters, Army Personnel, Superhero Cosplayers, Ladies & Gents in Period Fashions, TV Personalities, with Civics & VIPs also attending on the day. Kings Square will play host to Live Bands and Singers with a Dance Arena.

Gloucester is inviting applications from Classic & Historic Vehicle owners of all types to take part in this retro showcase where the streets will be themed into different eras of time with shops & businesses joining in the fun.

With the magnificent Cathedral, Blackfriars, The Quays, The Docks and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby there should be something for everyone!

Music, fashion, films, events, food from the eras all will play their part throughout this fun time, all culminating in awards for best cars, vehicles and best dressed owners from each era.
